Cookie Policy
Version 2.4 · effective 2026-10-20
This Cookie Policy explains what this website stores in your browser, which other companies' scripts it can load, what each one receives, and which of them the cookie banner controls. It describes what the site's code does today.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Browsers also offer other places for a site to keep information, such as local storage and session storage. This policy covers all of them.
What this website stores itself
Our own code sets no cookies. It keeps two things in your browser's storage:
tsci-consent-v2 (localStorage)
Remembers your cookie choice, so the banner does not ask again.
What it holds. Your three choices (measuring, advertising, reviews published elsewhere) and the date you made them.
How long. Until you change your choice or clear this site’s data in your browser.
tsci-attribution (sessionStorage)
Remembers which campaign brought you to the site, if the address you arrived on carried campaign details, so that an enquiry or booking you make can be linked to it.
What it holds. The campaign details from the address (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_content and utm_term) and the page you landed on. Never the rest of the address, and never an email address or phone number.
How long. Until you close the tab.
The cookie banner does not control these two. The second is kept only in your browser tab; it leaves it only as part of an enquiry or booking you make. The site's fonts and styling are served from this website.
Other companies the site can load
Some features load scripts or content from other companies. When they load, they can set their own cookies and receive information such as your IP address and browser details, as any website you visit does. The names, purposes and lifetimes of the cookies they set are decided by them and can change; their own notices describe them. We do not control them directly. Once loaded, a script may also contact other servers of its own.
The companies are Google (for Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and Google Maps), Meta (for the Meta Pixel), Calendly (for booking) and Doctify (for reviews, which are switched off today). Each entry below says what it receives, when it loads, whether the cookie banner controls it, how to stop it, and where to find the company's own notice. That notice, not this policy, describes the cookies the company sets.
Controlled by the cookie banner
Google (Google Analytics 4)
Counts which pages people read and a few actions, so we can improve the site.
Banner choice. Measuring how the site is used
What it receives. The address of the page you are on with any personal details removed from it (B-024), the page title, and when you tap a telephone number, open the booking window, switch booking type, finish a booking or send an enquiry form. For an enquiry it sends the event and nothing about what you wrote. For the booking actions it also sends which button you used and which type of booking it was: skin check, consultation or video consultation.
When it loads. Only after you have chosen “Measuring how the site is used”, on this visit or an earlier one. Never before.
Loaded from. www.googletagmanager.com
How to stop it. Open Cookie preferences (section 5) and switch off “Measuring how the site is used”. The page reloads, because a script that has already run cannot be unloaded.
Their notice. Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab)
Google (Google Tag Manager)
Loads the tags we use to measure the site and our advertising, so that they can be managed in one place.
Banner choice. Measuring how the site is used or Advertising
What it receives. Your cookie choices, and the events our code sends it: when you tap a telephone number, open the booking window, switch booking type, finish a booking or send an enquiry form, with any address in them stripped of personal details (B-024). It receives nothing about what you wrote in a form.
When it loads. Only after you have chosen “Measuring how the site is used” or “Advertising”, on this visit or an earlier one. Never before.
Loaded from. www.googletagmanager.com
How to stop it. Open Cookie preferences (section 5) and switch off both “Measuring how the site is used” and “Advertising”. The page reloads, because a script that has already run cannot be unloaded.
Their notice. Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab)
Meta (Meta Pixel)
Lets us measure whether our ads work, with no audiences built from the pages you view. This one does identify you to Meta.
Banner choice. Advertising
What it receives. A page view, and three events with no further details: that the booking window was opened, that a booking was completed, and that an enquiry form was sent. Meta’s own script also collects what the Pixel is built to collect, and we do not control exactly what.
When it loads. Only after you have chosen “Advertising”, on this visit or an earlier one. Never before.
Loaded from. connect.facebook.net
How to stop it. Open Cookie preferences (section 5) and switch off “Advertising”. The page reloads, because a script that has already run cannot be unloaded.
Their notice. Meta Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab)
Doctify (switched off)
Would show patient reviews published on Doctify.
Banner choice. Reviews published elsewhere
What it receives. Nothing, because nothing from Doctify is loaded today.
When it loads. Not currently loaded: Doctify reviews are switched off. If we switch them on, they will load only if you have chosen “Reviews published elsewhere”.
How to stop it. If we switch Doctify reviews on, the reviews widget on our reviews page will load only if you have chosen “Reviews published elsewhere”, and you can switch that off in Cookie preferences (section 5). If we also show a Doctify badge in the site footer, it will be a link to Doctify’s own site, and what Doctify does there is covered by Doctify’s own notices, not by this policy.
Not controlled by the cookie banner
Calendly
Runs the booking form you use to book an appointment.
What it receives. Whatever you type into the booking form goes to Calendly. We also pass it which button you used, the page you were on, and any campaign details stored for your visit. If you arrived from a booking link we sent you, the name, email address or phone number in that link is passed to fill the form in for you. Calendly may set its own cookies.
When it loads. Only when the booking window opens, for example when you choose “Book Online”. Nothing from Calendly loads before that. The cookie banner does not control it.
Loaded from. calendly.com
How to stop it. There is no switch for this one in the cookie banner. It loads only when you open the booking window, so you can avoid it by not opening that window and sending us an enquiry instead. To remove cookies Calendly has already set, use your browser’s settings.
Their notice. Calendly Privacy Notice (opens in a new tab)
Google Maps
Shows a map of a clinic on the Locations page.
What it receives. The address of the clinic you chose, and what any web page request carries, such as your IP address and browser details. Google may set its own cookies.
When it loads. Only when you click a clinic’s card on the Locations page. Nothing from Google Maps loads before that. The cookie banner does not control it.
Loaded from. maps.google.com
How to stop it. There is no switch for this one in the cookie banner. It loads only when you click a clinic’s card, so you can avoid it by not clicking one. To remove cookies Google has already set, use your browser’s settings.
Their notice. Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab)
What the cookie banner controls
The banner offers three optional choices: measuring how the site is used, advertising, and reviews published elsewhere. All three are off until you choose. Accepting and rejecting are the same size and weight, and ignoring the banner turns nothing on. Calendly, Google Maps and the two items in section 2 are not controlled by it, as set out above.
Managing cookies
You can change your choice at any time:
Taking back a choice you gave earlier reloads the page, because a script that has already run cannot be unloaded. You can also control cookies and site storage through your browser settings, and clearing this site's data removes your choice, so the banner will ask again. If scripts are switched off in your browser the banner cannot open, but nothing optional loads either.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, and the version and date at the top of this page will change when we do. The latest version will always be available on this page.
